NHS England Medicines Optimisation Dashboard

In March 2015, NICE published guidance on medicines optimisation, entitled ‘Medicines optimisation: the safe and effective use of medicines to enable the best possible outcomes’, which offered advice on receiving optimal benefit from medicines.

NHS England first produced its Medicines Optimisation Dashboard in 2014, and since that time has refined it in line with user feedback. This resource makes it easier for CCGs to develop plans ensuring that all patients achieve the best possible outcomes from their care, regardless of where they live. It aligns with the NHS RightCare approach, and features an easy-to-use interface (based on the NHS RightCare Instant Atlas), time series analysis that enable trends to be monitored, regular refreshing of data, patient experience metrics and the ability to extract visuals for use in presentations.
